Creighton Brothers notes that the materials used to construct an awning are critically important to performance, especially in volatile weather conditions. many awning companies use thin frames to prop the fabric. At Creighton Brothers we use a thick walled Schedule 40 aluminum frame. This type of frame is much more wind resistant and it doesn't rust. A new rigid valance is also used to prevent the awning from flapping in the wind.

Our products are typically constructed with vinyl materials. For residential projects, the company buys fabric materials from Glen raven Mills, a company with a great reputation for offering fade-resistant fabric products, such as Sunbrella.
